We thought we knew this city inside and out, and then we worked on this book. What unfurled was a journey of discovery and an all-encompassing appreciation for a city oozing with independent creative talents, quirky English experiences, and the rich tapestry of pretty much every nationality in existence.

For the indie crowd, there's The HUNT Guides ... it's no longer as important to be "comprehensive" as it is to be spot on.

About the book

It’s easy to be complacent in the city where you live. I thought I knew this city inside and out. That was me, until I worked on The HUNT London.

What unfurled was a journey of discovery and an all-encompassing appreciation for a city oozing with independent creative talents, quirky English experiences, and the rich tapestry of pretty much every nationality in existence.

There is no doubt that along with the rest of the world, London continues to be challenged by economic turbulence. However, what I discovered in London was a powerfully beating heart of independent commerce sustained by people who passionately believe in what they are doing. I hope you enjoy the journey documented in these pages as much as I did. It has changed my understanding of the place I live in forever.

About the author

David Leppan is a treasure hunter, a collector, and a hunter-gatherer. His passion for what’s unique, rare and handmade began at the age of 10 with a friend's father telling him with great enthusiasm about his classic Rolls-Royce. To finance his rather nomadic lifestyle, he searches for treasures all around the world – zealously buying and rather sadly selling antiques – always on the lookout for beautiful and unusual products made by craftsmen and artisans.
