About the author

Amanda Scriver is a passionate freelance writer, community builder and body image advocate. Never afraid to voice an opinion, her activism has been profiled in Mashable, CBC Metro Morning and The Toronto Star, and one of her most successful projects to date was Fat Girl Food Squad, a blog that discussed the intersections between food, fat and feminism. She loves a good cup of coffee, indulging in trashy reality television, partaking in a good chip buffet and communicating via GIF.
